oooooops!  i’m a little late with my monthly hors d’oeuvres!  better late than never.  and i love the delicious things i’m finding this month.  my theme is centered around the color GREY  - as i’m currently loving it as a neutral (instead of black) mixed with pops of color.

Enjoy!

1.  Zoe Chen:  applique swan dress.  my goodness!  what a darling, darling dress on it’s own.  then you add the swan and you have something amazing.  $72

2.  Katarina Couture:  gorgeous & charming felted wool cloche.  love cloches this season!  so feminine and mysterious.  i think the pleat makes it.  $118

3.  Mrs. Fat Face:  ooh!  love the bright jade on oxidized silver.  these colors are such a nice contrast of neutral and electric!  so pretty with a nice, basic outfit.  $32

my dear, talented and oh-so-fashionable friend, Annie recently started her own line, Sourdough, which includes the  Sleepytime Eye Mask.  It’s filled with a delicate whiff of lavender and sewn shut with cool vintage bark cloth.

sleepy time eye masks

i admit – i never thought of myself as a sleep mask kinda gal…thought they were reserved for hangover prone women (alas, those days are long gone for me).  but when Annie sent me one – i realized how totally useful this item would be!  instead of being mildly irritated when my husband chooses to read a little longer – i snap on my mask and feel the sweet smell of sleep arrive on my light-blocked eyes.  yes – these are not just totally adorable – they can be used all the time!

uh – wow!

so – i encourage you to carry these in your store.  great gifts and wonderful for any woman who sleeps with someone who wants to stay up later than her.  and recently i was reading a really good book and was the one who wanted to stay up later…so my hubby decided to wear the mask!  it looks pretty cute on men too.

finally  – annie has the cutest line sheet and a fun opening order!  order an assorted dozen and you’ll get a 13th in a “surprise” fabric chosen by the designer.  the opening order is $150 – so an easy way to get started.  contact her at sourdoughsf@gmail.com to place your order.

now these are HOT.  i mean really HOT.  i spotted these on Etsy quite a while ago and was eager to post about them – but they were not selling wholesale at the time.  now they are!!  i think the gals shopping at any shoe or apparel store would go GA GA over these.

for example, when it comes to style, i am very non-committal.  i really enjoy mixing it up and having a wardrobe of choices.  variety is my spice of life.  which is why i’d never get a tattoo – they’re pretty permanent (plus i’m a scared-y kat).  but i would LOVE to wear these tattoo socks.  they provide that sexy, mysterious, coolness of a tattoo without the needles and such.

how amazing would these look with a simple black dress and pumps?  it would really take it to the next level for under $25.  now that sounds like any easy sale.

they come in knee-high, thigh-high and full length styles.  minimum order is 50 pairs and the prices range from $8 – $13 (unless you’re placing a ginormous order).  you have 9 styles to choose from in 5 lovely shades.

contact Gabby at postdesigner at yahoo dot com for order forms and line sheets.  she’s a designer and will be shipping these from Tel Aviv (!) – so they should be a pretty original find for you USA shop ladies!

 ooh lala, indeed.

ps:  if you are a portland store – let me know if you’re ordering them!  i’m DYING for a pair!!  i’d love to add mine to your 50 min!!

perusing Etsy, as usual and found these lovely things to share….i’m feeling the summer vibe of peacocks and flowers….enjoy!  contact the designers if you’re interested in selling their wares or purchasing for your own pleasure!

August etsy loves

1.  Decorette – darling wall decals – i’m very fond of the peacock

2.  Miss Bee Designs – lovely flowers expressed in felt and tulle

3.  Mod Dot Textiles  – oh my!  a fabric-lovers dream!

i like eclectic and retro.  i think they make a good combo (especially when mixed with modern).

i’ve sleuthed out a few amazing display items for you – but act quickly – they’re all one of a kind!

1.  mushroom jewelry display (from CraftyTreasures vintage)

so cute.  i’d put lots of gold or colorful baubles on this.  it seems an appropriate display for your more whimsical earrings.

2.  vintage card holder  (from Modish Vintage)

adorable vintage mail holder would be a precious way to display greeting/note cards or other items attached to cards.

3.  vintage ceramic swan (also from Modish Vintage)

i’m picturing a fancy little clutch nestled into the swan.  it would be irresistible!

4.  flapper hat stand (from Appel Jar)

this is so adorable!  imagine a chic little cloche tilted on her head.  you’d sell the hat – no problem (and everyone would want to buy the stand as well!).

5.  glossy yellow sconces (from Renaissance Vintage)

yummy!  i’d take these and hang handbags or a pretty scarf on them!  even a long, chunky necklace could enjoy the spotlight.  and – they can paint them another color if you like (but the yellow  – come on!  is so delish!)

Enjoy these finds – i will be doing more sleuthing soon.  what decor items would you like to see?  please comment!

**if you see broken images it’s ‘cos the item is long gone….sorry, charlie!
